In Quepos, Costa Rica, there is a gas station on the edge of town where I met these two Costa Rican fruit sellers. Mallid and his father Cirilo had lots of knowledge to share, and some very delicious lychee / rambutan as well.

I asked them about their lives, and about their advice for travellers to Costa Rica or those who have never been to their country.

The answer given by these two Ticos warmed by heart... you don't want to miss this one! PURA VIDA!

PS - If you are around Quepos / Manuel Antonio and you want to buy freshly picked fruit for a fair price, you can find Mallid and Cirilo by the "Total" gas station near the airport. Mallid told me they are there every day!
